Quote By: Napoleon Hill
When you give too much credence to other people’s opinions you’re basically saying your true self to go soak yourself. When we get offered too many choices, the same thing happens—we sealed down the brain, unable to judge. Often, we end up simply deciding anything, just to get the process over and ended with.
Making choices is something we do every day; obviously, lots of things take place inside the brain as we make a judgment. Sometimes, our self-esteem is bound to the opinion of what other people deem of us. We feel great when other people support our likings and appreciate the decision.
We feel crap when our friends disapprove our choices.
TO ACCOMPLISH GREAT THINGS, WE MUST NOT ONLY ACT, BUT ALSO DREAM, NOT ONLY PLAN, BUT ALSO BELIEVE
We should end up becoming a vassal to what other people want. Stop running around and trying to satisfy everyone with our every judgment.
When we listen to others we are mashing own wishes, we are fashioning our self to suit the idea of what other people deem of us. By doing this we stop showing our whole personality and also not trusting own judgments because we assume that other people know better.
When other people’s beliefs are more prominent than own we live life on their terms. Not ours. And yet, we’re the one who will be left with regret on our deathbed for not having lived a life truly genuine to who we are. Their views of us will be long gone. And we’ll wonder why we gave them so much power over us.
Start setting boundaries today with those people who have been squashing us under their judgments and views and it will instantly assist us to feel greater about self!
